"Oh Crap, Oh Crap, Oh Crap," must have come out of my mouth a million times in those few seconds. I don't think that I have ever said that phrase so much in such a short time.

It was the ice's fault. I was driving into the church and was parking when all of a sudden the kiaguar started going in a slightly different direction than where I was turning the wheel. In those few seconds it felt like forever as I knew what was going to happen. The breaks were being worthless, there was nothing I could do. So at a very slow speed of under 5 mph I made contact with the back of lisa's gorgeous car. I'm pretty sure I was having a heart attack. I felt like such an idiot and was petrified to see if I hurt her car and secretly was hoping that none of the kids saw the scene (they didn't... my ego is still in tact.) Andrew was my passenger, I'm not quite sure what was going through his mind at the moment, but he didn't seem to be as affected as I.

Then it was time for the fateful moment. I had to go tell lisa. I walked into the kitchen and apparently my face said it all. I told her what happened, and she later told me she was trying not to laugh. So we went out to assess the damage, and praise God, after a quick check the lisamobile and the kiaguar were announced both safe and unarmed.

I guess for my first and hopefully never again car accident that it all worked out in the end. But I'm pretty sure I am going to have a new phobia of parking for the rest of the winter...

Rusty's bumper has seen many a kisses from other cars... it's like a magnet...

it's great to know that both cars are unarmed... there may have been more damage if they were armed... :) love ya!!

OHhhhh Amanda... This made me laugh too...

It's so funny what seems so terribly awful. I remember being in an accident (my own stupid fault) 4 years ago.

As I looked back at the road (NEVER try to discipline a child while driving) I saw the rear end of the car in front of me approaching MUCH to quickly.

My mind froze and seized on this little tidbit to play over and over in that extended second:

"The paperwork is gonna be a nightmare."

    :)
